A Weekend Trip at Moalboal

Moalboal is about 2.5 hours bus-ride from Cebu City. It is located on the western south side of Cebu Island. Along the way, you'd see beautiful views like these. I don't know why but when I saw this scene,  Madonna's song, " This Used to be My Playground " suddenly played in my mind...  I think it's a meaningful song  and it's one of those songs that I like to listen to  when I travel by bus or by ship...  it makes me think much about my life  until eventually, I'd fall asleep...    Moalboal is a perfect place where you can have a quiet moment while you wait for sunset.   Well, maybe not during April and May when the resorts are usually filled with local and foreign tourists. Here's a collection of quotes inspired by the place: A man travels the world over in search of what he needs,  and returns home to find it.   ~ George Moore Wander a whole summer if you can. Weekend Getaway in Catmon, Cebu

About two hours north of Cebu City, lies the peaceful town of Catmon —  a perfect spot for a simple weekend escape.  On this trip, we visited a natural hot/cold spring tucked into the mountains.  Here’s how it works: warm water seeps out from high above the rocks, creating stalactite formations as it trickles down.  Then it meets the fresh, cool stream below, mixing into a soothing, relaxing bathing spot that feels like nature’s own spa. Warm water gently flowing from the rocks, shaped slowly by nature over time. It was such a simple pleasure — the warmth of the water, the sound of the stream, the shade of the trees, and that calm feeling you only get when you’re surrounded by nature.  Nature’s artwork — formed drop by drop, year after year.   Through travel, I’ve learned to see the world with fresh eyes. And sometimes, it’s these quiet, unexpected moments — like dipping into a spring in Catmon — that stay with you the longest.    Green...

Joyz: A PhotoDiary

There are two things that give me pure joy —  art and travel. Everywhere I go, I see beautiful creations  by  the Supreme Artist. God  is simply amazing. Each mountain, waterfall, river, and sea… Every creature within them… All uniquely formed and slowly  painted   through time with colors beyond imagination. ~ Through all of this, I find inspiration — a quiet push to create something of my own. (Though I still have so much to learn…  and practice more, as I should ^_^) My perspective on art and travel continues to grow, and with it comes a sense of awe and wonder — the kind that makes me pause, feel small, and realize just how much there is to see… to learn… to discover in this beautiful world. Since I’m not so confident with words, I chose to create a photoblog instead. It feels more natural for me to express my thoughts through photographs and drawings… Art  + T ravel  =  J oyz   (yes… my name ends with a “Z” ^_^) F...
